Resilience Booster Tool
Utilising a resilience framework facilitates the incorporation of climate risks and opportunities into the design and implementation of investments. This is because it enhances the capacity of individuals, assets, institutions, and infrastructure to utilise or adapt to the effects of shocks and stressors. The Resilience Booster Tool is therefore a self-paced, step-by-step guide for development professionals devising or implementing climate-resilient initiatives. The tool assists teams in contemplating, specifying, and designing resilience-promoting project activities by incorporating resilience characteristics.
This resilience-enhancing instrument was developed as part of the AFRI-RES Facility, a partnership between the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the World Bank with funding from the Nordic Development Fund (NDF).

African Climate Resilient Investment Summit (ACRIS)
The difficulty of constructing climate-resilient infrastructure is embedded within the larger difficulty of securing sufficient investment to construct a low-carbon society. Adaptability and long-term viability must be primary considerations from the outset. This is essential for the construction of new electricity plants, water, transportation, and infrastructure. The construction of climate-resilient infrastructure will support the transition to a low-carbon economy, increase climate change resilience, generate employment, and benefit the entire region.
Since 2015, annual ACRIS summits have been held to introduce African Union member states to practical solutions and technical cooperation from the private sector, technology providers, consultancies, and service providers. This assists the continent in preparing for and meeting the challenges posed by the effects of climate change on infrastructure in the areas of energy, ICT, building infrastructure, water, agriculture, and food security. Recruiting international private investors and development agencies to invest in infrastructure-resilient projects in Africa at the same time.
ACRIS is jointly organized by the AUC, UNECA, and the World Bank with generous support from the Nordic Development Fund. In attendance are:

=> The private sector, investors, and development partners
=> National and regional financial institutions, national experts, partners: AfDB, EU, WB & UN agencies.
=> Agencies for investment promotion in Africa.

=> Research institutions and universities.
Industrialists, technology developers, researchers and developers, and development actors exhibit their businesses and organisations, equipment, materials, services, innovations related to industries and services, new knowledge, and other practises.
